An Immigration Celebration
On Sunday, June 26th, join us for a fun-filled day to celebrate the contributions that newcomers and settlement service providers have made to Winnipeg !
Beginning at 2 pm in Central Park , there will be a variety of family activities for fun and learning, including:
carnival games,
a mini soccer tournament,
face painting,
cultural food,
a magician,
a balloon sculptor,
a global village,
musical performances from around the world including Trio Bembe, EXILE.Z, Guerillas of Soul, Magnum K.I., and more
the presentation of the annual IRCOM Mosaic Merit Award,

This event is being hosted by a number of agencies working in partnership, including the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba (IRCOM), Acceuil Francophone, New Journey Housing, Knox United Church , Welcome Place , Newcomer Employment Education and Development Services (NEEDS) Centre, Immigrant Centre, and Altered Minds (ENTRY Program).
We have been generously sponsored by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Canadian Heritage, and Assiniboine Credit Union and many other community members with gifts in kind and other donations.
Following this celebration, IRCOM will be hosting an IRCOM House Homecoming from 6 – 8 pm at 95 Ellen St , featuring the premiere of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO, Youth Advisory Group video Drop the Label, performances by IRCOM youth, and more food!
