Running from September to June, our After-School Program offers crafts, sports, outings and homework activities to children and youth from 4 – 6 pm and 7 – 9 pm each week day. Volunteers assist with the leading of activities and games, supervision of participants while on outings and with one-on-one homework assistance. Volunteer recruitment is currently closed for the 2009/2010 program.
ASP Volunteer Duties
- Assist with set-up and clean-up of program room as needed
- Present self as a positive role model
- Supervise children and youth
- Assist with lesson and game facilitation as requested
- Take initiative and participate in all group activities
- Report any incidents immediately to program coordinator and/or staff
