Family-to-Family

IRCOM’s Family-to-Family Program matches newcomer families with Canadian families in order to enable families from different backgrounds to learn more about each other and form lasting friendships.

Family-to-Family runs from June to August each year. Once paired up families meet 4 times over the summer for socializing and outings. Volunteer families are welcome to apply year-round to ensure their space in the program.

Volunteer families don’t necessarily need to have previous experience working with newcomers but rather a willingness to learn about a new culture and an interest in sharing experiences with another family.

Families with young children are especially encouraged to apply.
