Volunteer recruitment is now CLOSED for the 2011/2012 school year. Applications for the 2012/2013 school year will be accepted from May - September 2012.
All NLI volunteers must complete and pass a Criminal Record Check and Manitoba Child Abuse Registry Check if applicable.
NLI volunteers will work with students under the direction of the NLI Teacher in one-on one, small group, and whole class settings.
Volunteers shall:
- Model proper English at all times, making an effort to speak clearly and slowly
- Use polite language and social etiquette
- Be patient with students
- Support students in their learning NOT provide them with the answers
