Volunteer Opportunities

IRCOM would not be capable of undertaking the good work that we do without the support of our many dedicated volunteers.

Through their work with IRCOM, our volunteers have the opportunity to interact with people from diverse backgrounds, take on leadership roles and welcome newcomers to the community of Winnipeg. With the right attitude IRCOM volunteers can expect to improve their interpersonal skills, cross-cultural communication skills and leadership abilities.

IRCOM is currently seeking volunteers to assist with Adult Language Partners, Family-to-Family Program, and Interpretation Services. We are also still accepting practicum students for both Winter and Spring terms. However, we are not currently able to accept additional volunteers for our Newcomer Literacy Initiative or our After-school program. If you are interested in either of these programs please feel free to contact our Volunteer Coordinator to have your name placed on a waiting list.
