Debbie Froese was born and raised in a small town called Elm Creek, Manitoba. She graduated from High School in 2002, and then moved to Winnipeg to begin her studies at Canadian Mennonite University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in 2005. She began her passion for working with Newcomers in 2006 when she had the opportunity to help Newcomers adjust and learn English in 2006 in the United States. After returning to Canada, she began studying at Red River College in their Child and Youth Care Program supporting youth who are at risk, graduating in 2009.
Before starting her position at IRCOM in June of 2013, she worked as a Crime Prevention Program Facilitator for 4 years at the Newcomer Employment and Education Development Services (N.E.E.D.S Inc.). Debbie really enjoys working with youth of all ages! In her free time she loves to spend time with her family and friends, as well as play a variety of sports. Debbie hopes to further her education in the future in Child and Youth Care field.
