301Fitsum is the Asset Building Program manager with IRCOM.

Fitsum has a Bachelor’s degree (BED) and Masters of Education (MED), in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from her country of origin, Ethiopia. She worked as a teacher at different levels of education and in different leadership roles back home.

In her most recent role as a Neighbourhood Immigrant Settlement Worker in the North End of Winnipeg as well as her current role as the Asset Building program Coordinator at IRCOM, Fitsum loves meeting new people, listening to their stories and providing ongoing support to the best of her ability. Being a newcomer herself and passing through the path of settling in a new country, Fitsum enjoys sharing her story and inspiring others. She is passionate about CED and the philosophies of ABPs. She is married and has two children.
