Irene Sheldon

Irene has been in the Early Childhood Education field for 10 years, and has her Early Childhood Education diploma from Red River College.  She has some human resources courses from Assiniboine College.   Most recently she was the site manager of a licenced daycare that supported the Deaf Community in Winnipeg.   She is fluent in American Sign Language.  Irene runs the nursery program at her neighbourhood church.

Irene grew up in rural Manitoba and spends as much time out of the city as she can.  In her spare time she spends time with her son and husband, plays dodge ball, and volunteers with a few different organizations within Winnipeg that support Winnipeg’s homeless population as well as intercity youth.  She is also addicted to knitting and trying her hand at crochet.

Irene is passionate about supporting children and their families in the best way that she can, and is dedicated to working with the team to provide quality child minding for the families who attend IRCOM programs.  She is honoured to be a part of the IRCOM community and looks forward to all the new people she will meet and things she will learn.
