Sarah Schwendemann

Sarah was born and raised in Winnipeg and although it is her home, she loves every chance she gets to travel elsewhere and experience new places.  She started playing soccer when she was four years old, and twenty years later still hasn’t stopped.  Soccer has been her life for the majority of her years, and she feels it gives her the ability to connect with so many people.  This is why she enjoys coaching the IRCOM girls so much!

She graduated with a bachelor in Social Development from Human Ecology at the University of Manitoba in 2012.  That summer she had the amazing experience of supervising student researchers in Brazil as her practicum.  Upon return, she began volunteering at IRCOM in the children’s program during open gym.  She also coached the U14 IRCOM girls soccer team for the indoor season.  After one year volunteering Sarah has had the amazing opportunity of joining the After School Program team at IRCOM and can’t wait for what her future here holds.
