Zebiba Ibrahim

Zebiba left her country, Eritrea, in 2007 holding her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Management and minor in Accounting and over 10 years of work experience in business management, finance, and organisation and human resource development.

She migrated to Egypt where her involvement with a non-profit refugee legal aid organisation was the foundation to her experience of refugee issues. Zebiba worked in this sector for 3 years with refugees and she learned the challenges that refugees confront and endure. This experience has given her the wisdom to help those in need to the best of her knowledge and ability.

As a newcomer to Canada, Zebiba has started her life pursuing a Small Business Management Certificate program at Red River College, as well as taking culture and language development programs at the University of Winnipeg and language centers in order to integrate well to her new homeland.

Zebiba has coordinated Family and Asset Building Programs before joining IRCOM. She is glad to join IRCOM, which she describes as an inclusive environment, in September 2013 as the Asset Building Program Assistant. Zebiba is passionate about equity and unity in diversity and values the unique talents individuals bring in all spheres of development and change.

Zebiba sits on the board of UNPAC and volunteers in community development programs.
