The second year of the Refugee Integration Support and Employability Project (RISE Project) has concluded successfully. We celebrated the completion of all project components, including a series of tailored employability workshops, English for specific purpose sessions, and Computer Literacy Sessions. To gain real-world job experience and exposure to real businesses and environments, our newcomer families also had the opportunity to perform volunteer assignments with various IRCOM departments and programs.
Thank you to Nehal Community Centre for inviting IRCOM to celebrate Nowruz and Eid Al-Fitr! We are honoured to unite with the Afghan Community in harmony and solidarity, sharing in the blessings of culture and tradition.
The community meeting is a great opportunity for all our tenants to connect with IRCOM staff and share their thoughts and ideas about the services we offer. It’s a chance for everyone to have their voices heard and to work together with us towards improving our services while keeping the whole community in mind.
Embarking on a journey of connection and discovery at IRCOM! Our recent outing brought together 25 incredible women and children for a soul-enriching experience. From teachings and smudging by a Metis elder to encountering majestic wildlife, every moment was a treasure. Our newcomer families explored the Bois-des-Esprits, guided by elders from NEWC and Denis De Pape, delving into the land’s rich history.
Let’s walk, learn, and grow together as we embrace the spirit of belonging and community.
Although the final whistle has blown, the spirit of our after-school soccer program continues to shine! While we finished with silver against SWCC U 17 B, the dedication and teamwork of our boys’ team were truly commendable. Thank you to all IRCOM Staff and families who came out to support our youth—they felt your encouragement every step of the way. Let’s celebrate their achievements and the bonds of community that unite us all! 🥈⚽

d) Do not look through your phone, camera, or sunglasses.
e) Watch it on TV!
f) Make sure to safeguard your vision by using certified solar filters or eclipse glasses.
