Although the final whistle has blown, the spirit of our after-school soccer program continues to shine! While we finished with silver against SWCC U 17 B, the dedication and teamwork of our boys’ team were truly commendable. Thank you to all IRCOM Staff and families who came out to support our youth—they felt your encouragement every step of the way. Stay indoors and stay safe during the Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024! The eclipse will begin at 12:54 p.m., with the maximum eclipse occurring at 2:01 p.m. and ending at 3:08 p.m. 🌞🌘
Here are some safety tips:
a) Keep your kids inside.
b) Cover the windows.
c) If you are outside at this time, do not look up!
d) Do not look through your phone, camera, or sunglasses.
e) Watch it on TV!
f) Make sure to safeguard your vision by using certified solar filters or eclipse glasses.
IRCOM brought participants to the mini Pow Wow hosted by Knowledge Keeper Clayton Sandy and Mosaic at Knox Church. Participants saw various dances such as grass dance, traditional dance, fancy dance, and hoop dance and learned about the dancer’s regalia.
This experience was in preparation for bringing newcomers to the Manito-Ahbee Pow Wow in May.
